The 2025 Ford Ranger: Unbeatable All-Terrain Toughness

A Look at the Engine Options

The Ranger XL, XLT, and Lariat all come equipped with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine featuring automatic stop-start technology. This engine offers 310 lb-ft of torque and 270 horsepower and is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. The XLT and Lariat trims offer the option to upgrade to the available 2.7-liter EcoBoost six-cylinder engine with 400 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque. The top-trim Raptor boasts a powerful three-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that generates 430 lb-ft of torque and 405 horsepower.

Power and Handling

The base-model XL, XLT, and Lariat all come with 4×2 drivetrains, are equipped with electronic shift-on-the-fly, and offer the option to upgrade to 4×4. The truck is built on a fully boxed frame made from high-strength steel and features an independent front suspension with front and rear gas shock absorbers. You’ll find coil springs in the front, leaf springs in the rear, and a four-wheel anti-lock braking system on all trims.

The 2025 Ranger Raptor features an electronic-locking rear differential, a Watts-link rear suspension, locking front and rear axles, and rear coil springs. The top trim also includes a forged-aluminum double-wishbone suspension, FOX shocks featuring live valve technology fine-tuned for racing, Ford Trail Control, and MyMode for custom drive settings. Together, these specs make the Raptor an all-terrain champion, a thrill to drive, and one of the most robust trucks in today’s market.

A Tour of the Interior

The entry trim’s cabin includes cloth front bucket seats with eight-way adjustments for the driver and six-way adjustments for the passenger, along with cloth fold-flat bench seats in the rear. Higher trims like the Lariat and Raptor trade cloth for premium leather upholstery. Each cabin comes with a digital instrument cluster available in either eight- or 12-inch sizes, a 10- or 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, and no shortage of onboard convenience and safety technology.

All new Ford Rangers feature integrated FordPass Connect software, 4G Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities, Pre-Collision Assist with automatic emergency braking, a rearview camera, and more.

Whether you’re hauling heavy gear or exploring remote back roads, the 2025 Ranger rises to the challenge with available features like a turbocharged engine and the trail-ready FX4 package that take its capability even further. Test drive the newest Ranger with us today at Mike Fitzpatrick Ford in Newnan, GA, and experience the Ranger’s all-terrain toughness for yourself!
