Terrific Technology

The Edge has a lot of great infotainment technology thanks to SYNC 4A. This infotainment system gets updated over time, keeping it working perfectly as your vehicle ages. The vehicle also has 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capability and access to SiriusXM with 360L. SiriusXM gives you access to a lot of ad-free media that’s expertly curated to your preferences, enriching your journeys with great entertainment.

SYNC 4A also seamlessly connects with smartphones via Bluetooth. You can pair it with an iPod or tablet if you prefer, as long as that device has Android Auto or Apple CarPlay capability. Smartphone connectivity allows you to make phone calls through your vehicle, have your text messages read out to you, and access tools such as Google Assistant and Siri through your infotainment system while you’re driving. You can also access music streaming apps.

Superb Safety

Ford Co-Pilot360 is a package of driver assistance features, which all help make your journeys much safer. Your car warns you when it’s likely you’ll collide with the car in front of you, sends you an alert when there’s a vehicle in your blind spot, and activates the brakes when you’re in danger of crashing into something while backing up.

The feature that lets you know what’s in your blind spot also has Cross Traffic Alert, which tells you when there’s a vehicle approaching from either side while you’re reversing.

Cabin Comfort

Everyone has plenty of space to stretch out in the Edge. Front-seat passengers get 42.6 inches of room to stretch their legs, while those in the second row have 40.6 inches of legroom. There are 40.2 and 40.3 inches of headroom in the front and back, respectively.

The first row has 55.9 inches of hip room, while the second has 57.5 inches of it. With 60.3 inches of shoulder room in the front and 60.5 inches of it in the back, there’s plenty of space to accommodate everyone.

Cavernous Cargo Area

Whether you’re driving with a full cabin or just one or two passengers, there’s lots of room for cargo. The cargo is 39.2 cubic feet in size, which is a fantastic size on its own. However, if you want an even bigger cargo area that can hold up to 29 carry-on suitcases, then fold down the back row. This gives you 73.4 cubic feet of space for all of your luggage.
